Well Lol, idk, i did it like i do to every game to be honest, maybe the problem is from joiplay build that they use, because most of people use public build and And I used patreon build, it's for free in their patreon.
Step 2: Download the REN'PY plugin (needed to play 'Debtors')
On the same joiplay patreon page, download the latest Ren'py plugin. This allows joiplay to start games created with'Ren'py'. https://www.patreon.com/joiplay
You will have two .apk files from the previous steps in your download folder.
Android application .apk files are similar to windows .exe files. Open your downloads folder (using the 'files' app or chrome downloads), and start the file called joiplay[some_version].apk file
If you have not installed an .apk file outside google play before, your device might warn you about opening unknown files. Press 'enable installing from unknown sources'
When JoiPlay is installed, install the "RenPyPlugin-8.3.3-1.00.10-patreon-release.apk" download in step 2 the same way.
Step 4: Download 'DEBTORS-5.6-pc.zip' (or any other build, idk if the other builds work on joiplay) from itch
Open your downloads folder, select the 'DEBTORS-5.6-pc.zip" and select "Extract". (Will load a a couple of seconds)
Step 5: Install 'Debtors' in Joiplay (aka press "ok" on a lot of prompts)
Launch the JoiPlay app, and accept the Terms & Conditions & privacy policy
If you have android 13+, JoiPlay asks for permission for notifications. It's not required to accept.
When it asks for storage permissions, press "Allow" on all 4 prompts. (If the first prompt appears again, thats a bug, close the application (recents menu -> swipe away), start joiplay again and press 'ok' again.) A window will appear asking for "All files access". Find "JoiPlay" in the list and turn the toggle on, and then press back.
When the permissions are granted, you see a white screen with a plus in the upper right corner, press that, then "Add Game" -> Choose -> /Download/ -> DEBTORS-5.6-pc -> DEBTORS.exe .
Joiplay will ask what you want the game name and version name to show up as inside Joiplay, go with the default "Debtors", and whatever you want to call the version you downloaded
Skip adding an icon for the game, use the default icon & press next.
Step 6: Play the game.
Press the icon "DEBTORS". The game will now finally start.
Press the small arrow icon at the bottom of the screen to get on-screen buttons you can use in the game to move / press the menu.

5.5 was turned back because it was totally redone. So the content is there it's simply hidden from you xD At least until it's fixed and updated to new game code
Not sure if this has been reported yet or not, but I've been playing 5.5 and none of my relationships increase or decrease. No matter what I do, they all stay exactly the same throughout the game. I've slept with Vito 5+ times, but our relationship is still at -25. I've given Gossip 3 gifts and we're still at 0. Also, at the beginning when you're supposed to be able to change the fertility settings and relationship status of spouse and Vito, those things never take effect once I start the game. I wonder if this has something to do with the game's persistence? I do have multiple different saves. Is there some way to fix any of these problems?
For some reason, anytime I try to play the game and it"s different versions, I can't play after doing one ending. I tried deleting the saves in the file but the saves still pop up and I'm currently unable to do anything. I don't know what I'm doing wrong and why nothing is working. It was also line 62 but I think it was in a different game file or something since I cant find it in the mech_events file, it didn't show up it my error text file for some reason. I got impatient and decided to put 10 for both and I was able to play afterwards.

Hello! Just got the newest version, and it seems my game hangs up at the cult scene - if I throw the letter away, it just flips back to the beginning of the scene and runs through the letter again, and if I go through the cult scenario, there's no button to go back to the main gameplay mode afterwards - I just get to stare at the naked goat...
Also, I am able to "serve clients" multiple times per day - granted, I would get the logic of serving each client once per day, but I've been able to rack up my entire debt payment in one game day with just the top-paying client, over and over, with no time progression.
Also also, I have a few writing and direction notes, but I'd prefer to share them with you privately, is there a way to do that? Thanks!
Thanks for the info. All bugs won't be important anymore because i'm refactoring the code of the game. I already have people working on writing so it will be redone too. I want to make it better with every update ^^
Well, I was thinking more about the bisexual angle. I was thinking there could be a dynamic event a few days in, or an extra dialogue option opens when you talk to Claire/Paul, where they talk about what happened with Vito in the opening scene, and the player can choose certain dialogue paths that would open bi or cuck or etc. avenues in the game.
Example - playing as Paul, on the first Weds (or so), Claire would bring up the interaction Paul had with Vito, she'd ask if Paul liked it, etc. The player could then choose whether or not to go down the bi path or cuck path, or etc.
Even better would be if the player opens the bisexual path, then they can choose to include the spouse in the "serve clients" scenes and maybe get a higher rate and some hot group scenes. Plus, perhaps it could result in Claire repairing her relationship with Blaire!
Something like this would make it a bit more dynamic, it would separate the bi and cuck angles, as the two are not mutually exclusive...
Also, I think just asking Claire/Paul how their day went (first dialogue option) should award +5 relationship with spouse... But, that's just a small thing...
Also, more anal for Claire, and more lady options for Paul?

Happens on some fragile antiviruses. Renpy engine is detected that way on some devices.
